Wow! I expected some Selke votes, and I guess the Lady Byng votes are fine too, but to be in the top 10 for the Hart Trophy is awesome for Suzuki! He actually finished ahead of McDavid! Throw in Hutson’s Calder Trophy win (plus Norris votes too) and NHL players are going to take notice of what’s going on in Montreal and perhaps we don’t end up on quite as many no-trade lists despite the taxes, weather and fan/media scrutiny. Add in Demidov as a potential linemate and you start getting the recipe for Montreal possibly being a destination top end guys actually want to play in.
