  • The Montreal Canadiens are yet to engage in contract extension negotiations with goaltender Samuel Montembeault.   • The PWHL team in Montreal is picking up steam. Not only will they have one of the greatest hockey minds in hockey as their GM, Daniel Sauvageau, but they’re also going to build the foundation of their team on three gold-medal Olympians: Marie-Philip Poulin, Ann-Renée Desbiens, and Laura Stacey. The rest of the roster will be announced sometime after September 18, when the six-team league completes its inaugural draft.
