Canadiens Daily: Habs Trade Kulak And Lehkonen; Trade Deadline Wrap
The Montreal Canadiens were busy on NHL Trade Deadline day before dropping a 3-2 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins at the Bell Centre Monday night.
Kent Hughes continued to keep his promise in two separate trades involving Artturi Lehkonen and Brett Kulak.
That and more in the latest MHN Canadiens Daily:

Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes probably didn’t want to trade Artturi Lehkonen but he made the best of a tough situation by acquiring 20-year-old prospect defenceman Justin Barron and a 2024 2nd round pick from the Colorado Avalanche for the versatile winger.
Hughes also got quite the haul for defenceman Brett Kulak as he sent the impending unrestricted free agent to the Edmonton Oilers for a conditional 2022 2nd round pick, a 2024 7th round pick and 26-year-old defenceman William Lagersson.
Oh, by the way, there was a Canadiens-Bruins game last night and Habs nemesis Brad Marchand spoiled a brilliant performance from Canadiens goalie Jake Allen.
