Canadiens Pre Game
Canadiens Preview And Lines: Suzuki Surging, Montembeault

The Montreal Canadiens (29-26-5) are set to once again face the Buffalo Sabres (24-29-5), with the puck drop scheduled for 7 pm ET.
The teams clashed in Buffalo on Saturday, though if you judged solely by the fans in attendance, it could have easily been a home game for the Habs. The travelling fans were treated to yet another comeback win, as the Sabres held a 2-1 edge midway through the game, but a well-rounded team effort was enough to swing the momentum to Montreal’s side and secure a 4-2 win.
Cole Caufield established a new career high in goals, with 29, while Josh Anderson’s broken body was rewarded for its sacrifice, to the tune of his 10th goal of the year.

Anderson was not present at practice on Monday, but he’s expected to suit up against the Sabres. After all, ’tis but a scratch!

Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki is in the midst of a good stretch, a statement that could be made almost any week of the year. The 25-year-old forward was named the Third Star of the week in the NHL, thanks to a seven-point haul (3G, 4A) in just three games.
Seeing as Jakub Dobes was given the start on Saturday, Samuel Montembeault will get the call on Monday, as he looks to secure his fourth win in a row since returning from the 4 Nations Faceoff.
