Canadiens Pre Game
Canadiens Preview And Lines: Mailloux And Reinbacher In Action
The Montreal Canadiens will play their second preseason game in as many nights, as they are set to host the New Jersey Devils at the Bell Centre. The puck drop is scheduled for 7 pm ET.
The Habs will ice a completely different lineup from the one that opened their preseason schedule with a dominant 5-o win over the Flyers. The youth movement played a big part in the win, with players such as Lane Hutson and Oliver Kapanen driving the play. Cayden Primeau was also quite good, though his shutout performance was overshadowed by the play of the skaters, including the instant chemistry shown by the Patrik Laine, Kirby Dach, and Alex Newhook line, which is expected to be the team’s second trio once the regular season begins.
This time around, the team’s projected top line will be in action, as Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, and Juraj Slafkovsky are set to face the Devils. The most interesting combination heading into Tuesday’s game is the third line, which features a few young players hoping to earn a roster spot in the NHL once camp concludes: Owen Beck, Sean Farrell, and Filip Mesar.
On the defensive side of things, Logan Mailloux will receive another kick at the can, David Reinbacher will be paired with veteran Mike Matheson, and goaltender Samuel Montembeault will be tasked with serving as the team’s goaltender.

How to Watch The Montreal Canadiens vs. The New Jersey Devils:
Game 2 of the preseason will be aired on RDS. Once the game is over, an instant recap complete with highlights will be available on Montreal Hockey Now.
Wow looks like Beck is targeted for Laval given his linemates and that Kapanen is being given a real shot to earn NHL position.
Will be interesting to watch Beck but they really are a smurf line.
