Canadiens Game 16: Lineup Changes, Montembeault To Start

The Montreal Canadiens (7-6-2) are set to host the struggling Calgary Flames (4-8-2) on Tuesday night at the Bell Centre. The puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
The Habs are coming off a 5-2 loss against the Vancouver Canucks, a game in which the scoreline did not reflect the effort level put forth by the Canadiens.
After a shaky start to the match-up, Juraj Slafkovsky was particularly good, setting a career-high in 5v5 shots, with 10. Slafkovsky still only has two points this season, but he’s looked much better ever since the head coach Martin St-Louis put a merciful end to the Slafkovsky, Josh Anderson, and Alex Newhook line.

Samuel Montembeault will be given his seventh start for the Canadiens, with Jake Allen serving as his backup.
St-Louis announced that forward Jesse Ylonen will return to the lineup. Ylonen has one goal in eight games, though you’d be hard-pressed to argue he has produced a healthy number of scoring chances. Michael Pezzetta will watch the game in the press box to make way for Ylonen.
Despite leaving the previous game early due to an injury, Jordan Harris ended up playing the last game against the Canucks, but he will not face the Flames. Gustav Lindstrom will play in his place.
As for the Flames, things are going poorly.
Very poorly.
Not only are they 2-7-1 in their last two games, but Jonathan Huberdeau is also off to yet another slow start, with just two goals and five assists in 14 games. And he’s far from the only Flames forward struggling to produce.
Andrew Mangiapane is currently the team’s leading scorer, with just four goals and four assists. Mangiapane is tied with Nazem Kadri and Elias Lindholm, who have only managed two goals apiece since the start of the season.
The goaltending situation is not much better, as all three Flames goaltenders currently sport a sub-.900 save percentage.
Jacob Markstrom will start for the Flames.

Typo Marc Dumont, game against Calgary is tonight, not Sunday Night! It happens.
Fixed. Thank you very much!
I believe the best move at this point is to trade Jake Allen. He will bring the best return of the 3 goalies on the Roster. Ride the younger 2 goalies and move on. Go habs vs the Flames tonight.
