Forces Of Nature Force Temporary Disruption At MHN

Canadiens ice storm

One of the most important aspects of running this site is offering the most up-to-date analysis and breaking news regarding the Montreal Canadiens.

Unfortunately, due to the infrastructure damage in Montreal, Marco and I cannot produce as many articles as we have in the past following a freezing rain storm that hit the island we call home.

Both of us are without power or cell service, which means we simply cannot bring you the same level of service we have strived to provide this season.

The good news is there’s not much left to play for when it comes to the Canadiens’ season, and frankly, I feel fairly confident I can predict what will occur when the Canadiens host the Washington Capitals at the Bell Centre tonight.

Nick Suzuki will do many things that go unnoticed on the scoresheet but are crucial to keeping a struggling team like the Canadiens above water.

Mike Matheson will try harder than almost every other player on the roster, and may even toss a few spin-o-ramas in the mix for good measure.

Brendan Gallagher will come very close to scoring twice. Hell, he may even come close to a hat trick, but given how poor his luck has been this season, he’ll probably end up as a minus-2 on the night.

Samuel Montembeault will make at least three saves that he has no business making.

The referees will miss seven blatant penalties, followed by seven questionable decisions, and seven swear words heard coming from Martin St-Louis.

Many Canadiens fans will complain that Sean Farrell is not playing, and rightfully so.

Lane Hutson will do something cool for Boston University at the Frozen Four.

And finally, the Canadiens will appear a little more motivated since Rafael Harvey-Pinard’s level of work ethic is contagious, and the team performs much better when he’s in the lineup.

Again, we apologize for the disruption in the service.

As soon as either of us has the ability to work from home with a functional heater, a charged computer, and internet service, we will resume the same level of Montreal Canadiens coverage you’ve come to expect from MontrealHockeyNow.

In the meantime, we thank you for understanding and appreciate your continued support!
