Montreal Canadiens Logan Mailloux has been having a stellar season in the OHL, but has just been handed a suspension after coming to his goaltender’s defence.

It was recently announced by Ryan Pyette that Canadiens prospect Logan Mailloux had just received a suspension for roughing against the Sarnia Sting on Friday night.

The 19-year-old defenceman took exception to Sarnia Sting forward Porter Martone crashing the net and falling on goaltender, and teammate, Zach Bowen in the later stages of a 7-4 victory for the London Knights.

Take a look at the scene below and give us your take below.

After being limited to just 12 games last season, Logan Mailloux is getting his reps in the OHL with the London Knights this season.

So far this year, Mailloux has been one of the better goal-scorers for defencemen in the OHL, as he’s notched 11 goals, along with 14 asissts for 25 points in 26 games.

When Logan Mailloux signed his ELC and returned to the London Knights earlier this month, the expectations for him in London will be quite high, as he will want to pick up right where he left off last season prior to his shoulder injury.
“The expectation for him in London this year is that he’s going to come in and push to be the top guy in London,” said agent Dylan Liptrap on the expectations for Mailloux upon his return to the London Knights. “They’ve got a lot of good depth on the backend that’s going to push him to get better and become of of the OHL’s  go-to guys.”

He’s been a force for the Knights so far, as his defensive game has also improved by leaps and bounds as the season has gone on.

Unfortunately, Mailloux will have to sit the next three games, but he will be chomping at the bit to get back to the ice.
