Odds Are Canadiens Will Finish With Second-Worst Point Total

For Montreal Canadiens fans hoping that their team is in the Connor Bedard sweepstakes when the 2023 NHL Draft Lottery rolls around, the NHL betting odds are in your favour.

Per our friends at BetOnline.ag, the NHL betting over/under mark in point total for the Montreal Canadiens is 70.5. That’s eight points below the 78.5 over/under point total prior to the 2021-22 regular season. That would also be the second-lowest point NHL Betting total ahead of the Arizona Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks who are at 67.5.

Of course the Canadiens went well under 70.5 points last season finishing with the worst record in the NHL at 22-49-11 for 55 points. That gave the Montreal Canadiens the best chance at winning the 2022 NHL Draft lottery and that’s what they did before taking Juraj Slafkovsky first overall at the 2022 NHL Entry Draft at the Bell Centre on July 7.

The thought here is that the Montreal Canadiens will go just over the 70.5 over/under NHL Betting point total and finish with 72.5 points in the 2022-23 regular season.
