The Montreal Canadiens aren’t done on the NHL trade market just yet because they need to shed some cap space.

Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes already proved that they’re not concerned with what some may say is a lack of experience when they hired Martin St. Louis as the interim head coach and now head coach of the Montreal Canadiens. They’ve done that again with the hiring of former Canadiens defenceman Stephane Robidas as an assistant coach.

The Montreal Canadiens are in a cap crunch and before the 2022-23 regular season begins, they will likely use the NHL trade market to alleviate that. Will it be Christian Dvorak? Mike Hoffman?
