It would only be natural if Montreal Canadiens executive vice president of hockey operations Jeff Gorton entertained the thought of trying to lure Kaapo Kakko (whom Gorton drafted second overall as New York Rangers GM in 2019), away from the Rangers with an offer sheet. However based on how deep the 2023 NHL Entry Draft will be, that’s as far as it should get, entertaining a thought. Now if the Canadiens could somehow acquire Kakko on the NHL Trade market without surrendering that 2023 first round pick? Go for it!

Montreal Canadiens prospect Kaiden Guhle was named MVP of the WHL Playoffs after he helped the Edmonton Oiler Kings win the WHL championship with eight goals and eight assists in 19 games.
