The Montreal Canadiens were once again the center of the hockey universe on Tuesday as the NHL and the White House held their annual NHL Lottery Draft amidst huge security and cronies.

There was no rigging or bad luck as the ping pong balls fell the way of the Montreal Canadiens at the NHL Draft Lottery Tuesday. The Habs will now pick first overall for the first time since they drafted Doug Wickenheiser with the only other No. 1 pick they ever had.

Even if the Montreal Canadiens didn’t win the NHL Draft lottery on Tuesday night, they still could’ve picked first overall; and if not, were either going to be the second or third picks overall. So what prospects other than Shane Wright could the Habs choose from of that happened?
