The Montreal Canadiens appeared to hit a new rock bottom Saturday in a 7-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers.

The Habs are hoping the return of some forwards to the lineup will help them bounce back fast against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday night.

Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price is set to address the media for the time since last July tonight just prior to the Habs game.

It was a busy news day for the Montreal Canadiens Saturday!

Prior to the game-day skate in Brossard, Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price got in a quick ten-minute skate in full gear but did not take shots. Price then attended the game Saturday night at the Bell Centre and will speak there at 6 PM ET prior to the game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. (MHN)

Following their game-day skate, head coach Dom Ducharme informed the media that Montreal Canadiens forwards Cole Caufield and Joel Armia got stuck in Madison, Wisconsin after a canceled flight Friday. They were due to arrive in Montreal Saturday afternoon but were unavailable for the game Saturday and likely again tonight against the Blue Jackets.

The good news is, Montreal Canadiens forwards Brendan Gallagher and Paul Byron should make their long-awaited returns to the lineup Sunday night at the Bell Centre. (MHN)

On Saturday night, the Montreal Canadiens were basically demoralized in a 7-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. Habs defenseman Jeff Petry did face the music for not coming to the defense of his goalie, Sam Montembeault, but Ducharme was seemingly in denial of how bad his team played in his postgame presser.
