The Montreal Canadiens are about to retool for the future so does defenseman Jakob Chychrun make sense to pursue?

Pointe-Claire native Anthony Duclair continues to blossom in Florida.

Is the Colorado Avalanche about to take over Denver?

That and more in the latest MHN Puck Links:

Montreal Canadiens

It is no secret that Montreal Canadiens Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations, Jeff Gorton, is looking to pull off the brilliant retool he did with the New York Rangers. So, does it not make sense to at least explore the hefty asking price for 23-year-old, 2016 first pick, and Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun? (Sportsnet)

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Joel Edmundson’s father, Bob, passed away Saturday after a battle with lung cancer. The Canadiens announced that the elder Edmundson, 61, passed at his home in Brandon, Manitoba.

Joel Edmundson has yet to play a game for the Montreal Canadiens this season due to a back injury and is currently among 24 Canadiens players on the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol list. He took time off in October to be with his father.

Our condolences to Edmundson and his family.

NHL

The Montreal Canadiens season may very well be a wash at this point, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up on the NHL season if you’re truly a hockey fan. If you decide to check out other games, do yourself a favor and watch the young defensemen coming onto the scene and thank me later. (NY Post)
