Hello! Mitch Gallo Joins Montreal Hockey Now

It’s time to try something new.

Montreal Canadiens fans know me as the sidekick to Mitch Melnick on the TSN 690 Radio Drive Show. Or, one of the Hosts of the Montreal Canadiens Post Game Show.

I love doing radio, interacting with the fans and of course, watching hockey.

But what you don’t know is that I love writing too.

When you’re doing live radio, you don’t always get to plan out everything you say. The immediacy of the medium is thrilling and fun but there’s always something that could have been said or explained in a better way.

That’s why I’m thrilled to join Montreal Hockey Now and explore the complete opposite.

Every word planned, every thought accounted for… Hopefully.

It’s not completely new to me. I’ve covered amateur sports locally in Montreal for many years and my first media job covering the Montreal Canadiens was with Canadian Press.

But writing this much will be a new challenge and I can’t wait.
